Coronavirus wouldn’t hold this legend back from running her 27th marathon this year!
It was a very special episode of Legends with Bevo when I caught up with Coronavirus survivor and inspirational marathon runner, Anna Liptak.
Anna and I spoke about the tough times that she has gone through this year after being one of the first in Australia to get the virus this year and how she recently ran a marathon despite dealing with the side effects that go with Covid-19.
We also spoke about getting heckled by an idiot has led to her starting two great businesses His and Her Time and Adventure Time Travel and how she got involved with Backpack 4 Kids who have been so supportive of Anna this year.
Anna also discussed her favourites of the 27 marathons that she has done and the sort of training involved and what she enjoys most about running marathons.
There’s also some great banter as Anna talks about growing up with three brothers.
Thanks so much to Anna for her time and Rory Noke from PodBooth for another brilliant job of putting the video together.

In one of the biggest games in the club’s history, I was very lucky thanks to the wonderful people at the Port Adelaide Football Club to have the chance this week to chat with young gun, Joel Garner in the awesome PodBooth studios.
We previewed Friday night’s Preliminary Final against the Richmond FC and spoke about the challenges this year with the pandemic and having to deal with training in groups, playing scratch matches and not having a team in the SANFL and what it's like living with fellow team mates Sam Hayes and Kane Farrell.
Joel and I also discovered that we have a common dislike of vegemite and love for mullets and that we both have younger brothers that don’t like losing in sport. We also found out the biggest pest and prankster at the club and how Joel can get very competitive when it comes to playing the video game, FIFA.

It was a lot of fun to chat to my good mate, mentor and basketball legend, Phil 'The General' Smyth on Legends with Bevo this week in the amazing studios at PodBooth.
As the great Molly Meldrum used to say 'Do yourself a favour', watch this and hear some amazing insights from one of the best Australian basketballers of all time and one of the brightest minds when it comes to sports coaching.
Smythy didn't hold back as he gave his thoughts on what the Crows should do with Brad Crouch and Tyson Stengle after their drug bust. In an exclusive, Smythy spoke openly about what attributes Matthew Nicks brought to the club and why he was selected as the new Crows coach last year.
I also asked him about how he would've dealt with the Olympics being postponed if it happened to him when he was competing back in the day. Smythy gave his advice for Ken Hinkley and the footy club and why it's unfair the way they have been disrespected after their incredible 2020 season so far.
He also provided the secrets to his success as a three-time NBL championship winning coach.

Paul ‘Roosy’ Roos has been a legend of our game as a player and coach and has done some wonderful work in the media post his career so chatting to him on Legends with Bevo has certainly been one of my highlights.
I also asked him about those controversial comments by Andrew Demetriou when he criticised Roosy’s coaching style back in 2005, his response was priceless:
‘It was very strange, we were doing so much for the game and promoting the game in NSW and it was like the CEO of Pepsi saying don’t drink Pepsi in NSW, drink Coke instead'.
Roosy raised some interesting thoughts on the pandemic, we also spoke about how the AFL has done a wonderful job to get through the season this year and why it’s been a blessing to have footy and sport to watch.
We also spoke about the benefits of meditating on game day as a player and coach, Roosy and his wife’s passion for mindfulness and wellness, playing with and against some of the best players of all time, his footy journey and highlights of his career and the thrill of breaking a 72 year drought when coaching the Swans to the 2005 AFL Premiership.

I really enjoyed chatting to Peter ‘Super’ Carey, the three-time Glenelg Football Club premiership player and still holds the SANFL games record with 448 league games. He also played 19 games of state football and was a three-time club best and fairest.
We spoke about breaking a 33 year premiership drought last year when Glenelg beat Port in the SANFL grand final last year, why there was such a big rivalry between both sides, the Super Carey journey, how he’s enjoyed being President this year at the Bays, playing state footy, how he came close to playing in the VFL and some of the best players he’s played with and against.

Another one for the Supercars Fans!
What a huge buzz it was when I got to chat with Garry 'Gaz' Jacobson from Matt Stone Racing (MSR) in the incredible PodBooth studios.
We spoke about how racing at the Bend has gone for Gaz and the team, how he's found his first year at MSR, a toothpaste prank that fellow driver Chaz Mostert played on Gaz, the E-Sports experience vs being on the racetrack, keeping fit during Covid and we had some great banter with Gaz being a big Richmond Tigers fan.
