In a first for Legends with Bevo, I interviewed new Norwood boom recruit and former Adelaide Crows star, Richie Douglas in his Mazda CX5 courtesy of Paradise Mazda. I didn’t have any success in getting Dougie to sing, however we had a lot of fun talking about his career and life outside of footy.
Dougie shared a classic story of a prank they played on former skipper, Taylor ‘Tex’ Walker, his funniest team mates at the club, his involvement with the Simon Black Academy, why he chose Norwood over other SANFL clubs, that Showdown rivalry and three famous celebrities he’d love to have dinner with.

With the AFL just starting up last week, who better to talk about the restart with than two larrikins and sports nuts, Mitch Cleary and Cam Luke.
Mitch is doing great things as a Journalist at afl.com.au and Cam can be seen on the Armchair Experts on Channel Seven with Adam Cooney and has his own podcast called the Cam Luke Podcast.
The boys know each other well so there is some seriously great banter as we discuss a number of different topics including : Cam's podcast that Mitch was a guest on recently, what they can do to allow crowds into the AFL this year, the confusing social distancing rules and the boys thoughts on the Grand Final likely to be played at night this year.

In my media career I have interviewed some big names in politics, sport and media, but none that encompass all of these on a level that Phil Cleary does. Phil took over from the great Bob Hawke in the House of Representatives in the 90’s and has one heck of a resume.
Phil is an author, anti-violence campaigner, radio presenter and he has own podcast. He is also a former VFA footballer, coach and commentator and was previously a teacher.
We talked about Phil’s:
Incredible work that he’s done as an anti-violence campaigner following the tragedy of losing his sister in the late 1980's
Taking over Bob Hawke in the House of Representatives
Football career as a former player, coach and commentator in the VFA
Podcast based on the World War Two documentary, Gladys and the Brunswick Boys (see links below)
