Comedy Legends with Bevo – Ep #8 – Biddy O’Loughlin.

It was great to catch up with another comedian who is doing great things on the comedy circuit, Biddy O’Loughlin who brought along her daughter Dolly!
Biddy is the daughter of another comedy legend Fiona O’Loughlin and we spoke about the buzz of performing together earlier this year.
We also discussed Biddy’s show ‘Funny Girl Sad Songs’ which she performed at this year’s Adelaide Fringe, her comedy journey, where she gets the material for her shows and a funny moment when someone didn’t realise that Biddy was the daughter of Fiona!

Sports Legends with Bevo - Ep #4 - Hamish and Adam Hartlett.

I was very lucky to interview the Hartlett brothers Adam and Hamish just before this year's SANFL season kicked off, we had some technical issues which delayed posting up the video but thankfully we got it sorted in the end.
We spoke about the ups and downs of Hamish's 193 game AFL career at Port Adelaide Football Club and what it's like to be back where it all started at the West Adelaide Football Club again.
We also had a bit of banter between the brothers, discussed Adam's footy career as well and found out some of the funny team mates that the boys have played with throughout their footy careers.

Sports Legends with Bevo - Ep #3 - David Rhys-Jones.

I really enjoyed chatting with one of the tough men of football, 1987 Carlton Blues premiership player David Rhys-Jones on Sports Legends with Bevo.
We spoke about why it was so tough playing in the brutal 80's, some of his funny team mates and the famous Battle of Britain exhibition match with North Melbourne that quickly became somewhat of a bloodbath.
His son Cooper has a rare condition called Prader-Willi Syndrome and Rhys has organised a 15 for 15 challenge to raise money for this very important charity.

It was a huge honour to recently interview Philip Micallef one of the greatest football journalists of all time on Sports Legends with Bevo.
Philip Micallef has worked full time for Fairfax (Illawarra Mercury) and News Limited (Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph).
He also was a long-time contributor to SBS (The World Game).
We discussed Philip's journey and where it all began for him, what it was like to interview the likes of Maradona and Pelle and his new book Quote, Unquote - My Top 100 Football Stories.

Bevo is joined by D'Arcy Evans the new and inaugural South Adelaide Basketball Club General Manager for a chat on our new series Sports Legends with Bevo.
We spoke about the comings and goings of the men's and women's for this NBL1 Central season, what made Darcy want to apply for the role and what excites him about it and how it's a big year for many reasons for the club in 2022.

Comedy Legends with Bevo - Ep #6 - Chris Franklin and Lars Callieou

I really enjoyed chatting recently with comedian veterans and great blokes Lars Callieou from Canada and Aussie larrikin Chris Franklin on our Comedy Legends with Bevo series.
We spoke about why the boys are up and about with doing live shows again, their comedy journeys, Lars relationship with the late Joan Rivers and Bob Saget and why Chris was not a fan of doing comedy shows on Zoom.
We also discussed the ideas behind Chris’s lockdown song called ‘Stay the F..k Home’ which he performed with over 20 different musicians and his other famous song ‘Bloke’.

Comedy Legends with Bevo - Ep #5 - Tahir.

It was a lot of fun chatting with Tahir on Comedy Legends with Bevo recently in the wonderful PodBooth studios!
We spoke about Tahir's character Habib which he played on shows like Fat Pizza, Here Come the Habibs, Pizza and Housos and the friendship that he built up with Rebel Wilson and why he's so proud of the success she is having.
We also discussed his two new shows at this year's Adelaide Fringe in Gluttony, how he responds to keyboard warriors, why he's loving being a stand-up comedian more than ever and we took the piss out of reality television.

It was a great pleasure to recently interview Joe White with a special guest cameo from his mate and fellow comedian with a very bright future Denmark’s very own Daniel Nielsen who has been the warm-up act for Joe at the Adelaide Fringe.
Joe has won the Fringe World Best Comedy Weekly Award for four years running, he’s appeared on Australia’s Got Talent and has also appeared on Sam Mac’s Virtual Pub Quiz on Sunrise last year with yours truly.
We discussed Joe’s show ‘Ethiopian Still Not Hungry’ which he’s been performing at the Howling Owl at the Adelaide Fringe with special guest appearances at The Rhino Room and Phat Cave and we also learnt how his tough upbringing led to him getting the passion for comedy.
