With the 'race that stops the nation' tomorrow, it was a huge honor to chat with racing expert, Terry McAuliffe, on Legends with Bevo recently.
Terry is a presenter on Racing.com and has called the Bay Sheffield in Adelaide, Athletics and horse racing for over 30 years.
We discussed the horses to watch in tomorrow's Melbourne Cup, where Terry discovered the passion for race calling, his big name media personalities who have been mentors and his most memorable moments whilst calling.
We also chatted about his thoughts on jumps racing being cancelled at Oakbank, what he has enjoyed most about being a caller for so long and how he had to fill-in as a race caller for the last four races at Naracoorte earlier this year.
Terry has also done a beautiful video in tribute to his friend Belinda Price who is battling pancreatic cancer, our thoughts go out to Belinda and her family and we wish her well in her recovery.

It was a great pleasure to recently interview two-time Olympian, Hockeyroos goalkeeper and R U OK Day ambassador Rachael Lynch.
We spoke about some incredibly difficult challenges that Rach has had to overcome to not only make it to Tokyo 2020 but also just to earn a dollar and she’s definitely one of the more resilient guests I have had on the show.
We discussed how Rach has balanced working as a registered nurse for the past ten years with being a professional hockey player, what it was like inside the Olympic Village at Rio and Tokyo and in one of my favourite parts of the show, we found out the most famous person she has met.
Thanks so much to Rach for her time, to Renata Gombac for arranging the chat and to the incredible team at PodBooth for putting the video together.
Finally thankyou to our partners, Renelec Electrical Services, Anytime Fitness and Bet Odyssey.

It was great fun recently to chat with Jordan McMahon on Legends with Bevo.
Jordan began his career with the Glenelg Football Club (SANFL) before getting picked up at number 10 in the 2000 national draft by the Western Bulldogs where he played 114 games and then 34 games at the Richmond FC.
We reminisced on Jordan's footy career and some of the superstars that he played with throughout his career, the feeling of his name being called out at the 2000 draft by the Western Bulldogs and some of his funniest team mates, tough opponents and pranksters.
Jordan and I also previewed the AFL Grand Final, spoke about Glenelg's amazing season so far in 2021 and how the Dogs surprised the Power in the Preliminary Final.

I’ve conducted lots of incredible interviews in the past few years and this one well and truly kept me on the edge of my seat.
Alex Porter is a fantastic bloke and his determination and positive attitude is incredible especially considering his dream of winning gold at Tokyo 2020 came crashing down literally.
Alex's handlebars inexcusably collapsed during the 4000 metre team pursuit cycling race.
We spoke about the incident and Alex described the feeling afterwards and injuries that occurred which could’ve been a heck of a lot worse considering he was travelling at 65km/h.
Alex and I also discussed the feeling of joy when he found out that he was going to compete at his first Olympics and what it was like inside the village, his Olympic experience growing up as a kid, funny team mates and how they dealt with the Tokyo Olympics being postponed for twelve months.
Thanks so much to Alex for his time and for being so open and honest with his side of the story with what happened at Tokyo, to Rory Noke from Podbooth for a great job of filming and editing the video and to our partners @Renelec Electrical Services and Anytime Fitness Glenelg for their ongoing support.

Former Kickboxing champion, Matt Sarkies is one of the lucky ones, in late 2020 during the pandemic he received a life saving liver transplant!
It was a real honour to have him tell his story recently on Legends with Bevo and talk about the health challenges that he has faced throughout his life which ultimately meant he had to give up his kickboxing career.
We also spoke about the importance of being an organ donor and why people shouldn't be scared to become one, how he's recovering after the transplant and where to from here for Matt going forward.
If you wish to be an organ donor, visit https://www.donatelife.gov.au/ for more information.

It was an honour to speak with former Boomer and two-time Olympian Chris Anstey about why it was so special for the Boomers to win their first ever men's basketball medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games!
I asked him whether Patty Mills is our greatest ever Boomer, what it was like for Chris to represent his country at the Olympics and why it meant so much to him.
We also discussed what the Aussies need to do and take the next step with winning a gold medal at the Olympics, three famous people Chris would love to have dinner with and Chris had a surprising answer to who he felt was one of the funniest people in basketball that he's met.
Chris has written a wonderful book called 'Tall Tales' and you can purchase the book by going to https://www.chrisanstey.com.au/424-2/
Thanks so much to Chris for his time and to Rory Noke for a great job of editing and filming the video.

After being told that she needed to ‘lose weight’ and that she was ‘too old’, four-time Olympian, Emily Jane Seebohm silenced the critics brilliantly by winning bronze and gold at Tokyo 2020!
It was a pleasure to interview Emily on The Road to Tokyo and discuss the feeling she experienced when she won bronze in the 200 metres backstroke and gold in the 4 x 100 metres women medley relay.
We also discussed Emily’s journey into becoming a professional swimmer, how Tokyo was an Olympics like no other, what it was like competing with no crowds and for a bit of fun I asked Emily, the three famous people she’d like to have dinner with.
Thanks so much to Emily for her time, to Kate Hutchison from Swimming Australia for teeing up the chat and to Rory Noke from PodBooth for a great job of filming and editing the video.
